Clean and soak tuar dal for half an hour. After that put on a colander to discard water.
Then chop them and keep aside.
Clean and chop onion, tomatoes, garlic and green chili and keep aside
Wash tuar dal properly and add in a pressure cooker.
Water 2 cups of water to it. Then add chopped amarnath leaves, tomatoes, onion, green chili and garlic. Also add salt, haldi and red chilli powder and pressure cook it for 2 whistles. One in high and one in low.
Heat ghee in a kadai, add red chili, hing to it. Then add mustard and cumin and let it crackle.
Then add boiled dal to it and allow to boil
Add samber powder to it and allow to boil for 3 to 4 and switch off the gas.
